Cuisine American
- 1 lime wedge to wet the rim
- 1 tbsp white sanding sugar or granulated sugar for the rim
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries they double as ice cubes
- 1/4 cup raspberries fresh or frozen
- 2 strawberries hulled and sliced
- 2 oz cranberry juice cocktail 1/4 cup, chilled
- 1 tbsp fresh lime juice about 1/2 lime
- 6 oz lemon-lime soda 3/4 cup, chilled; or sparkling water for less sweet
- ice to fill the glass
Rim the glass: rub the lime wedge around the rim of a 12 to 14 oz glass, then dip the rim into a saucer of sanding sugar.
Drop the raspberries and sliced strawberries into the glass, then fill it about halfway with ice.
Pour in the cranberry juice cocktail and lime juice.
Top with the chilled lemon-lime soda, pouring slowly so it doesn't fizz over.
Spoon the frozen blueberries on top so they float near the surface. Serve right away.
For a pitcher (about 6 drinks): stir together 1 1/2 cups cranberry juice cocktail and 6 tbsp lime juice in a 64 oz pitcher and chill. Right before serving, add 1 1/2 cups raspberries and sliced strawberries and 4 1/2 cups chilled lemon-lime soda. Add the blueberries to each glass. For a 1 gallon dispenser, double everything and add the soda in two batches so it stays fizzy.
Allergens: none of the major allergens as written. Check the labels on your juice and soda. Caffeine-free if your soda is caffeine-free (most lemon-lime sodas are, but check).
Less sweet: use sparkling water instead of soda and skip the sugar rim.
